SCIENTIFIC ERRORS AND DISHONESTY MADE BY HEATH OFFICIALS
Neuro Athletes,
I’m sure you are sick to death of the confusion surrounding COVID-19. I am too!
The bottom line is is that there is so much confusion about what is going on and where exactly we are right now. Who should we trust? Who is right and who is just feeding us more politics?
Most of the confusion comes from public officials and some physicians, those who we deem to trust, who have told lies and who have failed to abide by the laws that govern their industry. It’s hard to not be angry when you hear a two year old crying about the masking mandate. Should we be masking kids?
To help me cut through the noise, the confusion and endless bickering, I was fortunate enough to sit down with Dr. Vinay Prasad to The Neuro Experience podcast. The bulk of our conversion was about Covid-19, or more accurately, the stupidity surrounding it. The misinformation.
A doctor who is at the forefront of public health and policy who lead me through the discussion on how to navigate through these tough times.
A Walk Through Misinformation History
Aug. 26, 2021 — A tall, distinguished-looking physician in shirtsleeves and suspenders walked to the microphone at the Mt. Vernon, Indiana, school board meeting on a Friday evening in early August. He launched into an impassioned, 7-minute attack on the public health establishment’s medical guidelines for COVID-19.
“The Center for Disease Control and the Indiana State [Department] of Health are giving you very bad scientific guidance,” said Daniel Stock, MD, a primary care physician with a concierge practice in Noblesville, Indiana.
Dec. 19, 2020 — Dr. Simone Gold, a hydroxychloroquine advocate, stood before a crowd at a conservative church in Thousand Oaks, Calif., and delivered a talk riddled with misinformation. She told people to avoid vaccination against the coronavirus. As an alternative, she pushed drugs that have not been proven effective at treating COVID-19 — drugs that she also offered to prescribe to the audience in exchange for $90 telehealth appointments.
“Don’t text me when you’ve gotten a positive test; I don’t want to hear it,” she said to the gathering. “I’ve told you ahead of time to get the medicines. It can take a week because we’re so swamped.”
Discouraging one person in an at-risk category to avoid taking the vaccine because of your wild and unproven claims is potentially murder.
Their desire is not to raise valid, science-based concerns to enable free and open discourse. They exist solely to destabilize the public narrative, at any cost and it is for this reason they need to be de-platformed.
Where We’re at Right Now
Vinay: “I guess at least in terms of the vaccine, what I would say is that we have a number of vaccines approved in United States Pfizer, Moderna and J&J. I think the case to vaccinate in adult is pretty strong and compelling. We have multiple randomised control trials showing reduction in symptomatic SARS-CoV-2, as well as hospitalisation severe disease. So even somebody who thinks they’re not that old, who thinks they’re probably pretty healthy, probably will substantively reap personal health benefits by getting vaccinated.
Who is Being Dishonest and What is the Dishonesty?
Vinay: “I guess the first thing I want people to be honest about particularly United States is that the global practice around masking children is very broad. In the United Kingdom, they have never masked they’ve never compelled a child under the age of 12 to wear a mask…..”
“You can do it if you want, but they have never compelled it in schools. The WHO guidance says ‘if the child is under 6, we do not recommend masking, if they’re under 12, they only recommend on a case by case basis’. Many European countries were reluctant to mask very young children, particularly below the age of five or six European’s airlines Currently you can fly with an unvaccinated child and they don’t have to wear a mask on many airlines, many airline routes in the United States, the CDC and the American Academy of Paediatrics have recommended masking kids two and above.
Ivermectin ?
Vinay: “Here’s what dishonest is to me. If you go on social media, and you say ‘Ivermectin, we shouldn’t do it because the only data that supports it is very weak randomised controlled trial evidence with bias and weak observational studies’
But then simultaneously, if you say, ‘we should mask two year olds’ you have introduced a contradiction in your thinking, the contradiction is either your standard of evidence is well done, randomised control trials, or it isn’t. And if it is that then ivermectin and masking two year olds are in the same bucket. And if it isn’t that then they’re in the same bucket as well.
So for you to lean into the culture war, ivermectin, is what their side wants to do. And masking kids is what our side wants to do, that to me is a dishonest way of looking at science”.
Dealing with the fallout
COVID-19 cases are climbing and sanity is declining. Here are six points I touched on with Vinay in today’s discussion:
- The science on masking young children
- FDA Pfizer document.
- Five errors made in COVID science
- Joe Rogan and the Ivermectin case
- The John Mandrola myocarditis study controversy
- The future of the pandemic

Who I am? Well I am just like you, a concerned individual who is trying to find the truth. Government, mainstream media, and common-sense need to come to the party. NOW.
Until next time 🧠
